Pre & Post Dieta

Following the traditional dietary guidelines
is integral for healing process

Just like you wouldn’t plant a seed in sand you wouldn’t put Ayahuasca into an unprepared body.

If you have properly prepared it will allow your time here to be most effective.

The Importance of the Dieta

Following the proper dietary and behavioral restrictions is absolutely essential for the healing process. It not only prepares your body for the work to be done, but also shows the plants your dedication to the tradition.

Cleansing the body opens up your channels to properly accept the medicine.

Removing not only negative food, but also negative actions allows you to connect to the healing energies of the plants.

Eliminating dangerous influences provides the shaman with the best circumstances to begin healing.

The Basics of the Dieta

Your consumption of both physical and mental objects are slowly brought to a more simple and natural state. It starts with removing the most disruptive factors like Pork, street drugs, and sexual activity. As you get closer to the date you’ll be removing more and more subtle impediments such as salt, red meat, and oil.
Not only is food a major factor, but so is medication. Some medications have a strong and dangerous side-effects to Ayahuasca, for example SSRI’s. The most important factors are to abstain from pork, sexual activity, and street drugs (cocaine, MDMA, LSD, etc) for the first 2-4 weeks.
